Ruby on Rails programmer (August 2010, open position)
We’re a fast growing Software as a Service company creating collaborative business software for independent fashion designers, brands and retailers. We’ve had lots of positive buzz and a passionate user base who love the product and rely on it every day.
The role
A senior, technical role, working closely with the founding team.
Must haves
- Ruby on Rails experience and a deep understanding of web app development
- Comfortable with both front end and back end development (from CSS to SQL)
- Entrepreneurial - you’ll take an interest in the long-term success of the business in exchange for generous stock options
- Experience with a variety of deployment options (mongrel, phusion passenger, heroku etc)
- Appreciation for the value of good test coverage
- Good understanding of usability and browser compatibility issues
Nice to haves
- Good understanding of product management and the customer development process, translating customer needs into elegant solutions
- Cool side projects that you’d like to show us
- Hacker News reader
Location
Ideally, you'll be located in Cambridge (UK) or London (UK) and work onsite with our CTO. We may consider telecommuting for outstanding candidates.
